Sondra's Boudoir Experience
1. What made you choose POP Boudoir?
A few years back I had a boudoir shoot with Shana. I was a size 14 and I felt beautiful! I was working on confidence building and I knew a shoot with Shana would do just that! After I got my images back I felt like a goddess! A few years later and after a ton of hard work I went from a 14 to a 4 ! I had another opportunity to have Shana shoot me and it was just as much fun as the first shoot, if not more fun! I also wanted to recreate a pose of the "bigger me" in the same clothes after I lost the weight! She nailed the "after" photo.
2. How did you feel before your session?
Nervous, both times.
3. What were you nervous about going into your session?
I knew everything would pan out because Shana knows how to capture my personality but I still had doubts and insecurities about my body.
4. What was your favorite part of the experience?
Simply laughing with her till tears roll.
5. How do you feel now that you've completed your session?
Like I'd like to do another session! It was a total confidence booster and I'm thrilled with the results! She was so much fun to shoot with, I didn't want the session to end!
6. Would you recommend POP Boudoir to others?
Absolutely! If your looking to have others show you the beauty you possess through another's eyes, look no further! I promise Shana @ Pop Boudior will show you that beauty through her lens!
Styled Bridal Session in Greenville, South Carolina
You wouldn't know by looking at these pretty jewel toned pictures that this whole event was planned in less than two weeks! Essence Pugh, myself, and Alexis Marie (model) all got together and began planning what would be the cutest little Bridal session I’ve photographed in a while.
The backdrop for this mid-winter session was Revel Event Center, a venue for any occasion in Greenville, South Carolina. Revel’s space is the perfect blend of vintage and contemporary and was absolutely perfect for our vision. The space includes a Grande ball room, whiskey lounge, a bridal suite, grooms quarters and an outside promenade. We only ended up using the ball room (and the promenade) because the industrial ceiling and exposed brick walls were exactly what we needed.
Alexis is wearing a champagne strapless gown from David’s Bridal. Her vintage veil, jewelry, and shoes also came from them as well. The Bridal bouquet, table setup, linens, and centerpiece are all courtesy of A Taste of Essence Events. The cake was wonderfully provided by Buttercream Bakehouse. Alexis’ hair and makeup was flawlessly done by Face It by Turah Ann. And her nails were done by Nailz by Redd.
